If you missed out on the recent butthole sunning trend on Instagram, I’m still not sure if you should be glad or disappointed. Essentially, it began last month after ‘wellness’ Instagrammer Metaphysical Meagan posted the NSFW picture on her own social media accounts, saying incorporating butthole sunning into her morning routine has had a “profound” impact on her health.
“I have been practising this for a few months now. I start my day with 5 minutes of perineum [the area between the anus and the scrotum or vulva] sunning & feel energized for hours,” she wrote on Instagram.
“I no longer rely on coffee for energy to start my day because I am getting my energy from the sun. I also am experiencing better sleep and require less sleep due to boost of overall energy.”
The practice was odd, but apparently intriguing enough that even stars the caliber of Josh Brolin tried it out. He said, “Tried this perineum sunning that I’ve been hearing about and my suggestion is DO NOT do it as long as I did.” Long story short, he got a sunburn on his butthole.
Still, that wasn’t enough to deter EDM’s most infamous trendsetter, Diplo. He posted a picture of himself practicing the trend yesterday on Instagram, with the caption, “presenting my peace offering to climate change.”
It’s unclear whether climate change will accept his… “offering,” but hey, it probably couldn’t hurt.
