It’s been nearly three years since the world last got an album from Krewella, but that all changes in 2020. The sister duo has just announced their third studio album, zer0, out next year, January 31st.
The last album Krewella put out was New World Pt. 1, though it was a bit short and there never was a Part 2. In an interview with Billboard, Jahan said, “We actually intended to create a New World Pt. II, but we ended up going above and beyond what a Pt. II EP would seem like. It felt like something bigger or more meaningful. We wanted to capture a deeper, more complicated and complex emotional, spiritual and cultural layers. That felt like more songs, like we needed more space on a body of work to capture that. We just kept writing. We don’t want to stop, and eventually it was enough to make an album.”
They’ve released a number of singles in the years since, like the intense “Bitch Of The Year” or the collaborative “Gold Wings” with Shaun Frank. Now, as they head toward a new era in their career, they have also dropped the fist single from the new project, “Good On Your” feat. Nucleya.
A tribute to sensuality and the deep connection between two beings, “Good On You” is a bright, culturally-indebted celebration with hints of the girls’ multi-cultural upbringing weaved throughout. Check out the lyric video below and stay tuned for the full release!
