Excision’s annual Lost Lands mix and compilation for 2019 is coming out this Friday. While we all wait for that fateful day, Your EDM has an exclusive on a “bonus” track from the compilation: Sullivan King’s acoustic rendition of his Excision collaboration, “Wake Up.”
This isn’t the first time that Sullivan King has released an acoustic version of a song — he’s done it before with his Grabbitz collaboration, “Crazy as You,” as well. The difference here is that’s doing “Wake Up” solo, though it makes no difference in quality as he passionately sings out this tune.
The early Avenged Sevenfold inspirations in Sully’s music come out clear as day in this acoustic rendition, a pure and unfettered representation of his skill as a musician, not just producer.
