Niles Hollowell-Dhar (KSHMR) got his musical start as a Bay Area high schooler producing hip hop as one-half of music duo Cataracts. Alongside Far East Movements, Cataracts released the massive 2010 hit ‘Like a G6.’ Hollowell-Dhar went on to song write for Selena Gomez, Snoop Dogg, and Enrique Inglesias among others.
Today, KSHMR is known for his Indian-influenced house style, cinematic sets, and production prowess. Indian culture plays a large role in the artist’s creative inspirations and world sounds inspired dance music. KSHMR blends live music with illustrations, animations, and light design to create cohesive narratives across his performances, connecting festival goers to his music’s full story.
