Paul van Dyk Gears Up for New Album with Latest Single “Parallel Dimension”

The legend, Paul van Dyk, is back with a brand new single, “Parallel Dimension,” the first taste of his upcoming album Guiding Light. “Parallel Dimension,” with Canadian-producer Elated, is a jolt of classic PVD progessive trance. One of those epic tracks that seemingly takes you on a journey through space. Pounding drums, futuristic synths, a vicious low end and a classic PVD melody, this song should get any crowd moving.

The song opens with a low end sound that comes straight from outer space, followed by some of those trademark PVD synth notes. The beat gets mixed in, and we’re off. The first part of the song is pretty uplifting with the synth melody soaring over that 138 BPM. After that there’s a sort of bridge that features Pauld doing his trademark piano notes layered over some synth work in the background. After that it shifts back to the synth notes over the original 138. This is a tried and true formula right here, and is a perfect leadoff track for Paul’s upcoming album, Guiding Light.

Paul has also been giving fans a taste of Guiding Light on the road as he’s in the middle of his Project: Guiding Light tour, which continues on through November. Make sure to check him out if he comes to your city. Guiding Light is expected to drop very early in 2020. Check out Paul van Dyk & Elated’s “Parallel Dimension” out now on Paul’s Vandit Records.
