Ja Rule‘s name has been legally cleared from the ongoing $100 million Fyre Festival lawsuit.

According to multiple reports, the rapper and entrepreneur can officially put Fyre Festival behind him. The judge on the case dropped Ja’s name from the lawsuit, arguing he was not privy to major issues that ultimately failed the music festival.

THE BREAKDOWN: The Biggest Differences Between Netflix’s & Hulu’s Fyre Festival Movies

Ja recently shared on The Wendy Williams Show that Fyre was a “dope idea” and he’s still interested in throwing another event with the right partners.

He said: “If it had went off without a hitch, everybody would have said, ‘Oh, look at this great thing that they did.’ Not, ‘Ja Rule thought of it, came to them with the great idea, and they funded it.’ … As soon as it blow up, ‘Look what Ja Rule did.’ How does that work?”

“Sometimes you get in bad situations and wrong partners, as we know, and you gotta reset and do it right with the right people.”

Meanwhile, Ja’s former business partner Billy McFarland is serving a six-year sentence on fraud charges.
