If you consider yourself a fan of bass music, then there’s no doubt you’ve heard of Aaron Holstein, aka VibeSquaD. The man is a legend in his own right. He has toured with Bassnectar, Eprom, Glitch Mob, and played numerous festivals all over the world. Despite achieving lots of success with is career over the years, he made the tough call to announce a hiatus in order to focus on his health and work through depression. It turns out that this was the best thing he could have done, and just reading his post below where he goes into detail about it, his story about overcoming depression, quitting drinking, and having a creative resurgence is an incredibly inspiring story that I’m sure is helping many other creatives who have had similar struggles.
Now, VibeSquaD is back with a massive new track titled “Clobber” off of his ‘Clobber’ EP. It’s doesn’t fail to impress as he lures you in with a eerie horn stabs and a wobbly synth that builds into a bass heavy drop that you can’t help but move to. “Clobber” is great release from VibeSquaD and we’re excited to hear more of what he has in store.
