EDC Orlando kicked off yesterday with electrifying performances from dozens of artists, but one moment has our attention right now. During their set at the circuitGROUNDS, SLANDER debuted a new remix for “Good Things Fall Apart” by ILLENIUM & Jon Bellion and I am not okay.
I still believe that “GTFA” is one of, if not the best electronic song to be released this year. The emotion and musicality is simply unmatched. So remixing such a powerful song might seem like an insurmountable task, but SLANDER have risen to the occasion and gone above and beyond.
The remix (below) takes advantage of the duo’s iconic heaven trap sound with soaring synths and a beautiful melody. I can only imagine what it must have been like to experience that level of beauty in the pouring rain for a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
