Sometimes you just have to say “f*ck a melody” and make an absolute banger – not every song has be the paragon of songwriting, and sometimes you just need to bang your head into a metal rail. Plenty of songs have accomplished that mission over the last couple of years, and now Hi I’m Ghost throw their hat in the ring with “Death Rail.”
“Death Rail” is nothing if not aggressive. The tempo is perfect for headbanging, the synths wonderful for that perfect bass face, and the small samples of Link are perfect for the gamers to tune into.
The B-Side is “Lol Trap Music,” the duo’s second collaboration with WYD! It’s a hybrid banger that teeters on the edge of dubstep and trap, but definitely makes fun of trap more than not.
