Nicky Romero, Mike Williams & Amba Shepherd Drop New Festival Anthem “Dynamite”

If you’re like me, you’ve probably been missing festival season and those big soaring tunes with huge synth melodies. Well, Nicky Romero and Mike Williams have you covered. They’ve teamed up with renowned EDM vocalist Amba Shepherd for a brand new mainstage banger “Dynamite.” Again, this is a huge festival track, and it makes its intent known right off the bat. This is one of those collabs that seems like a pretty even 50-50 split between the two producers’ styles. This song has one goal, and that is to get you bouncing!

The track opens with an organ synth line before the handclaps come in and we’re greeted by Amba Shepherd’s vocal track. After the vocal track we get the soaring anthemic synths that will wind up being the drop. The synth interlude is followed by the drum buildup layered with some chopped vocals. After that we get the euphoric drop, it’s a blissful combo of big room and progressive house elements. Made for the main stage, one can almost picture the confetti cannons going off once the drop hits. There’s a lovely piano interlude right after the first drop, before it picks up where the first vocal bridge was back into the synth interlude and drop.

Despite being two of the more high profile producer/DJs in the Netherlands, Nicky and Mike actually got to know each other through Instagram. It sounds like it was a very positive experience for the two DJs working together and the results show in this top-notch track. Here’s what Nicky and Mike had to say about working together on “Dynamite.”

“I got to know Mike by Instagram, we were in touch for a while when he asked if we could do a studio session anytime soon. So, we planned everything and came out to the studio, worked on a few ideas and got this one going really fast. Great working with someone who is very hands-on with his production, the reason why we could work really fast!” – Nicky Romero

“It was really cool to work with a big artist like Nicky. We spent some time in his studio together, talking about music, this industry and of course working on the collab. It’s a bit unreal for me! I’m super happy with the result of the track. I hope everyone likes it!” – Mike Williams.
