Dillon Francis Drops Part 1 Of His ‘Magic Is Real’ Mixtape with “Still Not Butter”

With a complete EP release scheduled later this year, Dillon Francis has just dropped part 1 of his Magic Is Real mixtape, including the highly anticipated singles “Bomboclat (Light It Up)” and with Bunji Garlin and “Still Not Butter.”

The EP goes everywhere from house to Dillon’s classic moombah sound, which is especially vibrant on “Bawdy” with TV Noise and Big Freedia. But without a doubt, the most anticipated track on the EP has to be the follow up to 2015’s “Not Butter,” “Still Not Butter.”

Seeming to play off Flux Pavilion’s VIP “I Still Can’t Stop,” “Still Not Butter” is a thriving house tune with pulsing synths and the energy of a 16 year old boy in suburbia who just got his driver’s license and has a date on Friday. It’s impossible to tell if that’s the vibe Francis was going for, but surely it isn’t a complete miss.

Stay tuned for more new music, videos, and to-be-announced features from Magic Is Real, out in full on November 15th via Dillon Francis’ own IDGAFOS imprint and Mad Decent. In the meantime, listen to Part 1 below!
