Flux Pavilion & What So Not Team Up With Chain Gang of 1974 For New Single, “20:25”

Sometimes when an artist reveals they have a collaboration in the works, it might not be out for a couple months. Sometimes it’s even longer than that… Flux Pavilion revealed he had a collaboration with What So Not just a month and a half ago and it’s out now!

“20:25” with Chain Gang Of 1974 is wildly outside the normal realm for Flux, and more in line with WSN’s latest album, Not All The Beautiful Things. That being said, there are still some elements in this that are clearly Flux: the percussion, some of the melodic progression, even some of the processing on the synths. If there was ever to be a Flux Pavilion and What So Not song, this is about as close to a 50/50 collaboration as you could get.

The addition of vocals from Chain Gang Of 1974, who haven’t featured on a dance track since Dillon Francis’s “When We Were Young” in 2014, add a sultry layer to the track that is firmly necessary.

There will certainly be longtime fans of Flux who don’t vibe with this new sound, but the quality is undeniable. Check it out below.
