Justin Bieber Talks Candidly On Childhood Fame, Drug Abuse & Mental Health

At 25, Justin Bieber has experienced (probably more than anyone else) the ups and downs of fame. Now, he’s finally ready to open up.

In the post below, the singer/songwriter details the ramifications of his superstardom. From the failed relationships, to heavy drug use, to struggles with childhood fame — from the most “loved and adored” person in the world to the most “ridiculed, judged and hated.” It took him years to bounce back from the bad decisions.

He explains, “So by this point I was 18 with no skills in the real world, with millions of dollars and access to whatever I wanted. This is a very scary concept for anyone.”

“I started doing pretty heavy drugs at 19 and abused all my relationships,” he says. “I became resentful, disrespectful to women … hiding behind a shell of a person that I had become.”

“Luckily God blessed me with extraordinary people who love me for me.” He believes he’s now in the best season of his life and marriage, which has taught him “patience, trust, commitment, kindness, humility, and all of the things it looks like to be a good man.”

Bieber seems to be completely open and honest in this new update — and most importantly, in a good place.
