Over the years, Diplo has proven time and time again, he can do it all. Trap, twerk, hip hop — and even, most recently, country. However, his new imprint is all about house music.
The renowned producer is launching his new label, Higher Ground. It’s described as a platform dedicated to showcasing established and up-and-coming talent in house music. Named after his recent deep house-inspired venture, the Higher Ground EP, the label will also feature his own house creations and collaborations.
Diplo says in a statement:
House is where it all came from… Everything we know and love as dance music today started with the masters in Chicago and Detroit almost 40 years ago. The genre has always been incredibly important to me, and Higher Ground is our homage to the legends and opportunity to champion new sounds and artists from around the world pushing the genre forward.
First up, Higher Ground will feature Walker & Royce‘s double-single titled “Rave Grave,” featuring one track with VNSSA. Check back on September 4th as the dynamic house duo breaks in the new imprint.
Other upcoming artists include Born Dirty, DJEFF, SIDEPIECE, Andhim and more.
