A$AP Rocky played his first show since his prison release, during which he revealed to the audience that he’s going through a “scary, humbling experience.”
The rapper took the stage at Real Street Festival in Anaheim, California on Sunday. He stopped the show for a moment to talk about the recent events and express his gratitude for the ongoing support.
“Everybody, listen. I know y’all was praying for me,” he said. “I’m gonna need y’all to keep praying for me. You know what I’m saying? Hopefully with God’s will I’m not guilty and shit. I get the verdict on Wednesday, so…”
“I’m so happy to be here right now, y’all don’t even understand,” he added.
“That was a scary, humbling experience but I’m here right now. God is good, man. I can’t thank God enough, man, that was crazy.”
Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, entered a not guilty plea in court on July 30. A verdict is expected on August 14 back in Sweden.
