Anyone who’s watched the Instagram feed and stories from Dimitri Vegas, of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, knows how much of a Mortal Kombat fan he is. He’s been playing the game for years and has had a partnership with the brand for the past year at least. In partnering with the studio, the DJ produced the original track “You’re Next” for the title’s gameplay reveal trailer in January (below). Vegas also remixed the iconic 1995 Mortal Kombat theme music, which originally featured in the MK11 launch trailer.
Now, he’s upping the ante with his game skin for the Sub-Zero character in the game.
So hyped to give you guys a first look at my very own #mortalkombat character. Starting August 22 you can play as me or try and beat me up all day long. I still can’t believe I’m actually typing this haha… Thanks so much Ed Boon, Shaun Himmerick and the amazing Netherrealm team for making this happen… I look a bit skinny but that’s ok!
As Dimi says, the character will be playable starting August 22. The skin will be available for free to all players on Mortal Kombat 11.
