Your EDM Guest Mix: Dysphemic Showcases His Dancefloor Skills With an All Original Mix

Dysphemic is the Australian bass music artist who defines boundaries in basically any category you can come up with. From his D&B work in the 00s with violinist Miss Eliza to his move to focusing on slower tempos while not being pigeon holed as a dubstep artist to his most recent EP, the self-released Mind Bandit which came out last week, Dysphemic is innovative with his style to the point where it’s bordering on experimental. Fear not, however, it’s all still well within the realm of EDM.

No matter what kind of tempos or beat structures he’s working with, Dysphemic’s style can instantly be spotted: it’s cinematic, trippy and cerebral. With Mind Bandit, there’s multiple tempos and styles, from 150-160 stepped up dubstep to halftime with a big slice of hip hop to a trap track that doesn’t seem like trap called “Heart Break” featuring Amanda Lane. Its all over the board in terms of the elements he uses but style-wise, Mind Bandit is definitively Dysphemic.

With the tracks in Mind Bandit being plenty for bass music fans to get their heads around, Dysphemic has decided to really scramble us here at Your EDM with an exclusive guest mix featuring even more original material. While it obviously features Mind Bandit the mix also has some new surprises and a heavy, dancefloor feel which confirms why he’s been in tour blasting out festivals and clubs all summer.

It time to get stuck in with the Mind Bandit mix. If you weren’t lucky enough to see Dysphemic live this year, this is damn close to the live vibe. Also be sure to check out the Mind Bandit EP on Dysphemic’s Spotify along with his other releases.
