REPORT: Electric Daisy Carnival The Best Weekend for Las Vegas Marijuana Sales

Electric Daisy Carnival and the marijuana industry go hand-in-hand, according to a new report.

Bob Groesbeck, co-CEO of Planet 13 said business was booming when EDC took over Las Vegas this year. In fact, EDC weekend has become the greatest weekend all year for the city’s marijuana industry.

“We are trying to get a feel of the various events that have come through town and lean more heavily toward cannabis vs. other venues,” Groesbeck said, “and EDC just blew the doors off.”

According to the Reno GazetteJournal, EDC brought in 465,000 music fans over three days this year. Many of those individuals apparently enjoy smoking weed.

“We had huge, huge numbers across the board and we were very pleased with that. We can’t wait to have them back.”

The best part? Groesbeck had nothing but great things to say about the EDC crowd.

“I have to say, that as a group, they were very well behaved. No issues whatsoever. Just a real fun loving crowd.”
