Tyga is finally putting his two cents in following the CHVRCHES / Marshmello / Chris Browns wn drama that spurred up recently.
“We are really upset, confused and disappointed by Marshmello’s choice to work with Tyga and Chris Brown,” the band, who collaborated with Marshmello on “Here With Me,” spoke out on Twitter.
“We like and respect Mello as a person but working with people who are predators and abusers enables, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses that behavior. That is not something we can or will stand behind.”
Chris Brown fired back with his own rather heated comments. Now, Tyga is telling it from his perspective. Unlike Brown, he seems rather unfazed by the remark from CHVRCHES.
“Well, people who aren’t in the culture of hip-hop or rap only look at it as one way,” he explained to Billboard.
“It’s all the same. I think they were more mad that Marshmello put out a new song right after they did one with him. But he’s a producer and a DJ, so he’s putting out new records with people every week. You get what I’m saying? But you don’t hear us complaining. [Our song] was a little different from his genre and probably his fan base, which was cool though. And people like it, you know.”
There you have it.
