Berlin based artist Torn Palk has returned with his first project of 2019, an single entitled ‘Juliana’. The multi-instrumentalist/producer follows-up 2017’s year’s successful self-titled debut, staying true to his signature sound that incorporates a wide range of genre sensibilities.
Dropping through rising label Absent Mind, ‘Juliana’ is a huge scope of musical territory. Jazzy downtempo instrumentation is layered with lazy guitar riffs and blissful samples of the seaside alongside Palk’s distorted vocals.
In a recent statement alongside the project’s release, Torn Palk shared thoughts surrounding the meaning behind the single: “I wrote these songs during a time where I couldn’t shake my demons…I was forced to confront what I had been masking in smiles and metaphors.”
We expect big things for this Berlin artist over the coming months, so make sure you give him a follow and take a listen to ‘Juliana’ below.
