A lot of artists are choosing 2019 as the year to finally release an album and take their career to the next level, including Los Angeles-based producer William Black. Out today is “Back Together” featuring RUNN, the debut single from his album out later this year.
“Back Together” is a powerful melodic bass tune with plenty of lush synths and melodies, filled with some live guitar, as well, just to flesh things out. It bears a lot of similarity to Illenium and Gryffin in that respect, but Black manages to put his own unique flavor on the track with personal lyrics and characteristic breakdowns.
“Back Together is about when I first got sober from drugs. It was the first time in years that I felt hope. I thought I could start to actually get better, do good, and be proud of myself. And more importantly, maybe one day learn to be truly happy again.” – WB
