Rolling out of Wakaan this week from TLZMN is Sanctum, an almighty seven-tracker. With his musical style encompassing drum and bass and hip-hop, the technical fireworks throughout this set blow us away.
Both ‘Blackout’ and ‘Battle Drums’ are a furious, almost rhythmically franctic set of tunes – playing on their D&B tempos to pull you right in. There is a sample-laden sense of grit to ‘The Pendulum,’ yet contrast is created via ‘Deuces,’ which relaxes into a more elongated feel.
