North Coast Music Festival Announces 2019 Lineup with Bassnectar and Major Lazer Headlining

2019 has brought upon many changes for Chicago-based festivals with date and venue moves, so it is no surprise that “Summers Last Stand”, aka North Coast, fits into that as well. With the event going into year it’s 10th year, organizers decided to shake things up for once with a MAJOR venue move from their long standing home of Union Park to the lake front space of Northerly Island.

As always, North Coast will be held on Labor Day weekend – Friday, August 30th and Saturday, August 31st – only two days this year instead of their normal three. More than 25 acts encompassing a wide range of electronic styles will perform across two stages, The Pavilion and The Hanger. Bassnectar and Major Lazer will be the two main headlining acts while Jauz, Jai Wolf, Tchami, Flux Pavilion, Big Wild, Gorgon City (Live), Snakehips, Trampa, Ookay (DJ Set), Yung Bae, Dirty Monkey, SG Lewis, Anna Lunoe, i_o, Melvv, SoDown, Ford, Inzo, Stratus, Align, Elevatd, GoodSex, Birthdayy Partyy, and Dee Mash round out the rest of the lineup.

For those who have been attending since the beginning may feel a pang of nostalgia being lost but with all of these changes it allows for things to become more curated and the event to really focus on the fine details. Overall, it is important for long running events to do things to keep things fresh and as lively as possible. We’re excited to see what this new iteration of North Coast has to offer!

“We are so proud to have carried North Coast to reach the 10 year milestone in today’s ever changing festival marketplace. Moving the event to a world class venue like Northerly Island between the lake & marina, with Chicago’s incredible skyline views is going to enhance the fan experience immensely. After a decade worth of North Coasts, the timing is perfect for this new era of the festival to be ushered in.”
Lucas King & Michael Berg (North Coast Founders)

VIP, Single Day and Two-Day Tickets will go on sale at 12:00pm CST on Friday, April 26 at www.northcoastfestival.com.
