The drum & bass heavyweights Calyx & Teebee have a new series to unleash. They have poured their creativity into a series titled Plates, which is all about returning to the raw roots of dub-plate culture.
To get the series off to a strong start, they present ‘War Dub.’ This record is the kind of track that you will dominate a dance floor – looping horns and frenetic beats are met with ragga vocals to give that nostalgic bite.
The duo says: “Having released 2 albums since we joined RAM Records, we’re excited to be starting our next chapter with them by launching a new series called ‘Plates.’ It takes us back to our DnB roots – both musically, and in terms of how the music disseminates to our peers, fans and ravers.”
