Back in February, Marshmello made a simple tweet: he needed to do a song with Cardi B this year. It was less of a New Year’s resolution and more of a personal affirmation, but for one of the biggest DJs in the world, it was something he could make happen.
Queue yesterday on Cardi B’s Instagram story (video below) and she’s very clearly hinting at a new song with the saccharine performer.
“Wonder what marshmallow man wants from me. He sent these delicious cupcakes. Is it… is it… a hit record?”
If she’s trying to be sly (we think not), it’s not really working.
No word yet on any preview or release date, but this certainly seems like something that is already in the works.
