Both Facebook and Instagram have been largely unusable for most of today, March 13. The degree to which users experience issues on either site varies, but it’s not clear whether there’s any common factor, be it ISP, region, or what have you.
Facebook issued a statement earlier today, ruling out a DDoS attack. Just now, Instagram finally tweeted via their official Twitter account, “We’re aware of an issue impacting people’s access to Instagram right now. We know this is frustrating, and our team is hard at work to resolve this ASAP.”
As far as we know, the outage will continue and does not have a clear end in sight.
