Two people were shot during a street fight outside of Sound Bar nightclub in Chicago early Friday morning. One, a 28-year-old employee of the venue, was killed, and another wounded.
According to Chicago police, a brawl began in a nearby alley around 12 am. One man involved with the conflict pulled out a handgun and unleashed several rounds. He hit Thurman Bailey who worked in the nightclub and a 58-year-old man who “was associated with the business.”
Bailey died of multiple gunshot wounds around 1 am after being rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
The older man took himself into the same hospital and was treated for bullet fragments in his leg and arm. He’s expected to recover.
The suspect was described as a “male wearing a green puffy jacket and a black hat.” Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the authorities immediately.
