Up next on ProgRAM is a fresh new EP from Need For Mirrors. The UK based drum and bass artist has created the Royal Blood EP for the label, which stands at four tracks in length. As a producer, DJ and the founder of London event night Soul In Motion, he continually impresses.
This release keeps a similar vein. Starting with the title track, there is an urgency to the opening of the EP and it builds with simmering, low-end energy. ‘Midnight At Morley’s’ is a chance to again immerse yourself in its quick-stepping bassline and tightly packed drums, before ‘Keep Going’ offers a melodic switch up with dappled piano work. You can round off proceedings with ‘Dummy,’ another weighty piece that drives forward with darkened intensity.
