Deadmau5 Deletes Twitch Channel In Light Of “F*g” Controversy On Stream

deadmau5 deadmau5

Earlier this week, while playing PUBG on a public stream on Twitch, Deadmau5 used the word “fag.” The word was used as an opponent was using an unfair game mechanic, and deadmau5 became frustrated.

“Is that some fucking cock-sucking stream sniper fag,” he says during his outburst.

EDM.com wrote an article calling the action an example of hate speech and homophobia, while Your EDM approached the situation from a different angle.

Now, it seems that deadmau5 has deleted his Twitch channel entirely, after having his account suspended by Twitch.

“I’m not going to stand for Twitch’s double standard when it comes to censoring and suspending me for harmless shit. […] While it was intended to insult a fuckin asshat who was being a fucking asshat…. it wasn’t ‘directed at an entire group of people who have a sexual orientation that differs from my own’ fuck off with that shit. I know who I am, and I don’t have to fucking sit here and cry and defend my fucking self with the obligatory ‘IM NOT THAT PERSON, I AM SORRY’ reflex.”
