NERO Says They Aren’t Actually Playing Ultra, Then Delete Their Tweet

Ultra Music Festival’s phase two lineup came out two days ago, adding Adam Beyer vs Cirez D, Black Coffee, Dog Blood, Gigantic NGHTMRE (Big Gigantic + NGHTMRE), Tom Morello, k?d, NERO, SPOR, Peekaboo, Whipped Cream, Space Jesus, and more to the lineup. Well… maybe not.

According to a deleted tweet, NERO might not be playing at the mau5trap stage on Saturday, as they appear on the billing.

“Surprised to see we’ve been announced to play @ultra fest,” the tweet read. “Not something we agreed to or were aware of. We won’t be performing there this year. Apologies.”

“Apparently no fault of @ultra but rather crossed wires somehwere along the chain,” read a follow-up tweet, also deleted.

Mistakes in festival bookings aren’t unheard of, but they are avoided at all costs. The fact that the tweet was deleted means perhaps NERO was mistaken in being unaware of the booking; there’s also any number of other reasons.

We’ve reached out to representatives for NERO and mau5trap and have not heard back yet at time of publishing. A representative for Ultra has no comment at this time.
