Disclosure surprised fans at the end of 2018 with five stellar new singles, and they’re starting off 2019 strong as well. Out today is their new collaboration with Khalid, “Talk.”
At risk of creating something too far R&B, Disclosure actually manage to spin the slow and sultry style into their own deeper, synth-laden form. The song is deceptively addictive, if only because it never gives you reason to shirk away; there’s no discordant sounds or try-too-hard producer sound design antics. It’s all just soft and smooth — Disclosure and Khalid are a perfect pair.
Speaking about the single to Zane Lowe, Khalid said, “Oh my god, I met up with Disclosure, they played me this crazy-ass instrumental. I hopped on it for sure, and made one my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of, so I really thank them for that, too.”
