RL Grime is back with new music for the first time since dropping his sophomore album NOVA last year. The new track with graves, “Arcus,” is also the first release out on RL’s fresh new imprint, Sable Valley Records.
“Arcus” isn’t a particularly complex track, but it’s wildly beautiful. Swelling melodies and harmonies characterize the track, which for the most part is pretty understated. The drop is a flurry of synths and sounds, with pounding drums and an addictive vocal sample, all of which only add to the inherent emotion found in the track.
Who would have thought that in 2019 some of the best future bass would be from the guy that made “Core”…
Check out “Arcus” from RL Grime and graves below, out now on Sable Valley. Also, catch graves on tour starting tomorrow in Portland, with dates in Los Angeles, Austin, Denver, and more.
