Slushii switched up his sound drastically with his 2018 album DREAM. Now, here he is again with a new, upbeat single “Never Let You Go” featuring Sofia Reyes.
The song has major tropical appeal, with a stellar bilingual vocal performance from Sofia Reyes. The singer was nominated at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards for Best New Artist, and it’s easy to hear why. While Slushii often times uses his own vocals, this collab sounds like the perfect fit.
This isn’t the crazy dubstep Slushii is known for, nor does it tap into the somber tones and atmospheres heard with DREAM. “Never Let You Go” stands alone, proving yet again that Slush has the ability to create anything he sets his mind to.
“Never Let You Go” also features a music video in which Sofia and Slushii make the most of their day job.
