Mac Miller is up for his first (posthumous) Grammy Award this year — Best Rap Album — and if he wins, the rapper’s family will be there to represent.
Cardi B, Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T and Travis Scott are also in the running for the Best Rap Album honor. It’s safe to say, it’s anyone’s game. Miller’s 2018 album Swimming is up against some seriously stiff competition: Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, Nipsey’s Victory Lap, Pusha’s Daytona and Scott’s Astroworld.
Mac’s mom has stayed active on social media following her son’s tragic death. She shared the photo below upon hearing of the Grammy nomination. No doubt, she’s proud. 
Both of Mac’s parents reside in Pittsburgh, and his mom especially has been dedicated to sharing her son’s legacy. The Mac Miller Circles Fund is close to raising $1 million for kids in his hometown.
