It’s hard to believe that Skrillex’s Bangarang EP came out seven years ago, but it’s true. The first two years of Skrillex releases culminated in this absolute masterpiece; though it was Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites that earned Skrillex his Grammy, it could be argued that Bangarang is really what solidified him as a legend in the making.
The EP celebrated its 7th birthday yesterday, December 23. Its anniversary basically comes as a Christmas present each and every year, a special treat to look forward to. Between the titular track featuring Sirah, “Breakn’ A Sweat” with The Doors, “Summit” with Ellie Goulding… every track on this EP is a winner.
Taking the Varien orchestral suite into account, the whole EP spans 37 glorious minutes. Listen to it again below.
