As they do every year, Djs From Mars have just dropped their Best Of 2018 Megamashup with 40 of this year’s biggest songs in five condensed minutes. Plenty of dance music tracks are peppered throughout, no doubt due to their infectious beats and constant BPM that’s able to carry so many other tracks along for the ride.
Tiësto & Post Malone’s “Jackie Chan” is featured for the first quarter of the mix, along with Zedd, Grey, and Maren Morris’s “The Middle,” Dua Lipa’s “IDGAF,” Bruno Mars’ “Finesse” with Cardi B, and others. Other dance tracks featured include cuts by Diplo’s LSD supergroup, DJ Snake’s “Taki Taki,” Fisher’s “Losing It,” Marshmello and Anne-Marie’s “Friends,” and “One Kiss” from Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris, which is masterfully mashed up with Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” and more.
Perhaps the best quality of the mashup is that it still rises to a climax like a typical track would, entering the final fourth of the track with quicker cuts, faster beats, and more emphatic sounds.
