A lot of great albums have been dropped this year, but RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Solace stands firmly above the rest. One of this year’s finest albums has garnered the group massive praise, perhaps even more than their 2016 album Bloom, though the year isn’t even over yet.
With the success of Solace, BBC Radio 1 invited Rüfüs to deliver their very first Essential Mix on the program. If you’ve seen any of Rüfüs’s DJ sets, or were lucky enough to catch them as the special guest at the Do Lab at Coachella in 2016, then this should sound familiar to you. Of course, new music can be found throughout the mix, but the vibe remains.
