I never thought I’d be writing about Keith Urban for Your EDM, let alone twice in the same month. The legendary country artist was most recently in our news for covering Tiësto and Post Malone’s “Jackie Chan” during one of his performances; now, he’s offering up an acoustic cover of Marshmello & Bastille’s “Happier.”
Urban sat down with KIIS 106.5 radio in Australia after hosting the ARIA Awards to perform the cover. And you know what, it’s really good! “Happier” always felt more Bastille than Marshmello, anyway, so an acoustic cover feels totally natural. And despite Urban’s popular culture connotations as a typical country artist, that doesn’t change the fact that he has a great voice to back up his fame.
