Last weekend music fans were in a frenzy over the news of Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary music festival (us included). This weekend, it’s all about the projected headliners. As the rumor mill might have it, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, and Eminem could be leading the soundtrack of Woodstock in 2019.
Official 50th teasers have begun and The Festive Owl has unleashed a potential leak detailing an event called Journey On. The flyers boast “6+ stages, 35,000+ people, Woodstock legends + more.” The lineup centers around classics, pop, rock, hip hop, latin, country, and — oh yes — EDM. What else could this be if not the Woodstock event we’ve all been waiting for?
According to the flyer, Pearl Jam, Eminem, and Foo Fighters are just some of the artists being approached by the festival. The list goes on: Chance The Rapper, Pink, Lorde, The Weeknd, Coldplay, Kesha, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Graham Nash, Neil Young, Phish, Joan Baez, Bon Jovi, Elton John, The Doobie Brothers, Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, and Jason Aldean.
In the EDM realm, huge names like Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, deadmau5, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, and The Chainsmokers are being thrown around. This sounds ambitious alright, but if any event could pull it off it just might be Woodstock.
Original founder Michael Lang recently confirmed there are “definite plans” for Woodstock’s 50th Anniversary and that he is “indeed” excited about what’s to come. Planners have their sights set on Bethel Woods, NY, the very location of the first Woodstock.
Of course, nothing is set in stone — but view the purported leak below.

I have a problem with putting new performer in Woodstock. It was for us Boomers and I think it should remain so. That original concert was the most conic in the history of Hard Rock. I breaks my heart that you all would turn something so historical and change it into in to a petting zoo. I guess I am Too Old School.
Your right they will probably do a ton of drugs and have tons of sex while listening to great music……oh wait.
Get The Who, Santana, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd even, ask the BIG NAMES, why not? Motley Crew would do a one off, Led Zeppelin may even consider it!!! AC/DC would be great!!! Then give me a free ticket for this great idea!!!!
You have got to be kidding me. Seriously Y’all, get a grip.
uhhh did you forget the ones in the 90s? they pretty much sh*t all over whatever reverance you gave the original
Lang yall are going to have to keep these pop artists and other washups off the bill!
DMX, House of Pain, Cypress Hill, Alice in Chains, NWA for a reunion, Ozzy, Hot Chili Peppers, LL Cool J, Bizz-Markie, Metallica, Guns & Roses, Kid Rock,Van Halen, Yellow Wolf, Junior Mafia, Barbecue Bob & the Spare Ribs.
AC/DC is done ✅
Noooo not Ariana
AC / DC?? Do you even use the internet?? Malcom is dead.
Malcom Young maybe dead but the band is currently in the studio working on new material. They need to add the Stones to this!!!!
