It looks like Woodstock is seriously moving forward with its massive 50th year celebration. Michael Lang, one of the festival’s original promoters, describes “definite plans” for a 2019 event in a new report.
An official announcement is in the works and Lang promises it’s coming soon. “This is not a done deal yet,” he clarifies, “But it’s very close.” The Poughkeepsie Journal has the inside scoop.
A leaked pitch deck from the festival also lists a number of artists who could potentially be approached, including Chance The Rapper, Pink, Mumford and Sons, Lumineers, Neil Young, Phish, Joan Baez, Bon Jovi, Elton John, The Doobie Brothers, Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, deadmau5, and Skrillex. Avicii’s name also appears on the deck, proving that this has been in the works since at least April before the producer’s death. 
“I’m excited. I am indeed,” Lang adds.
After co-creating the original Woodstock ’69 and two follow-ups in ’94 and ’99, Lang is bringing the iconic music festival back. Hopefully, in Bethel, NY where the inaugural event took place.
The original music festival took place in Bethel from August 15 to August 18, 1969.
It sounds like Woodstock’s 50th anniversary is going to be hype!

I believe with the right tipe of music it well draw the right tipe of Crowd Which would bring people that will actually get along and 1969 the music that was carefully placed brought in the right crowd which were peace loving people there is still good people out there this is a hard thing to say but Certain music bring certain crowds I’m not going to point figures . That’s what happend with the 1996 wood stock they picked angry music to play there and it drew angry people it turned in to a huge problem real quick but also back in 69 they where all taking happy drugs now day people are using stuff that turns you into a Zombie And eating people’s faces off lol

Bethel has reunions every year since 1989. Theyve been very peaceful.
Our music from ‘69 era was about LOVE AND PEACE Today’s music is about HATE KILLING ETC So Yes the type of artist will make or break the event

Kansas is the only location we could find enough open land to have up to 500,000 attending. And we need that land in Kansas. Over 280,000 Tickets have sold already & we have 9 months to go before the event!!!

This is going to bring Flashbacks because I and including 3 other guys were there too see the Best. A lot of it was a little lost in our minds but I remember meeting Jimmy Hendrix in the back smoking a joint!! I want to be there and how do I get tickets?

Silly 2019 is the 50th Anniversary. Since 1969 is the original. You don’t count 1969 as Year one. 1970 is the one year anniversary.

I would love to see Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Metallica, Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Live, Oasis, Pantera, Scorpions, Pearl Jam, Skid Row, Rage Against The Machine, Foo Fighters, Van Halen, Motley Crew, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Iron Maiden, Rolling Stones, Def Leppard, No Doubt, Survivors, Poison, Depeche Mode, Journey, Styx, Duran Duran, REO Speedwagon, Chicago, Heart. I wish to see Queen, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Cranberries, Soundgarden, Linkin Park, Eagles, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Bee Gees,Beach Boys but some members already left us.
