Avicii tragically and suddenly died earlier this year, and the world has done everything in its power to keep his memory alive. Apart from live tributes and new music dedicated to him, an official memorial was held last night in Sweden, attended by Avicii’s father, friends and hundreds of his fans.

The memorial was open to the public, which saw hundreds of fans lining up outside the church for the chance to pay their respects and be a part of Avicii’s everlasting history.

Near the end of the event, reports TMZ, a choir sang Avicii’s “Wake Me Up,” arguably the biggest song of his career and one the lyrics of which carry particular weight in this situation.
