We’re so unused to hearing new Skrillex dubstep, we wouldn’t be surprised if you forgot that a classic like “Ruffneck” was even a thing. And yet, the classic is on the verge of revival if this cheeky teaser from Kill The Noise is any indication.
Yesterday on Instagram, KTN uploaded a couple short clips of an Ableton project file which, by all accounts, seems to be leading up to a drum & bass drop on “Ruffneck.” Plenty of Skrillex tracks have been remade into higher tempo bangers, but this one is especially scrumptious, even more so given KTN’s history in D&B production as Ewun.
Insomniac recently announced a Kill The Noise & Friends show in Los Angeles at Exchange – we’re not saying that Skrillex is definitely going to show up, but we’re not not saying that, either. If you’re in the area, I’d make it a point to get a ticket.
