Kygo is back doing what he does best on his latest production, “Happy Now” featuring Sandro Cavazza. Once again, he demonstrates his astounding musical touch. If the crisp, tropical energy he creates doesn’t immediately catch your ear, then a familiar voice certainly will.
“Happy Now” enlists in Avicii’s collaborator on “Without You,” which has become one of the late producer’s most recognizable songs of recent years. During Ultra 2018, Kygo delivered a special commemoration for Avicii, during which he performed “Without You.” The track, as well as the voice behind it, obviously mean a lot to him.
Flash forward to now, Kygo and Sandro Cavazza also prove to be an excellent musical pairing. Like much of the producer’s back catalog, the vocals drive “Happy Now” forward, but at the same time, Kygo paints a beautiful picture surrounding the lyrics.
“So excited to finally share this one with you guys,” Kygo shared upon its release. “Might be one of my favorite songs I’ve ever done! Hope you guys like it as well.”
What’s not to like? “Happy Now” truly does sound like a little glimmer of happiness, though it’s a tinge bittersweet. Allow it to move your emotions with every play through.
