An Avicii and Jon Bon Jovi Collaboration Was in the Works [VIDEO]

The untimely death of Avicii continues to uncover potential musical creativity that never came to be. The latest discovery was a potential collaborative effort between the late Swedish producer and American rock star Jon Bon Jovi.

Reddit user sandwichesareevil uploaded a video clip of an interview Jon Bon Jovi. In it, he revealed a time when he and Avicii met to potentially work on a new track. Bon Jovi talked about the effort the two put in to craft the song, but it ultimately did not work out. According to him, Avicii asked for a lyric for a song he was making. But when it came time to meet and finish the song, Avicii didn’t have all the tools or files to adjust Bon Jovi’s lyrics with the song idea. In the end, the two were able to meet each and spent an afternoon together.

As Bon Jovi puts it, “We just met, and nothing came of it.”

It’s unfortunate that not much came out of a possibly incredible collaboration between the late EDM icon and the rock legend. However, there are still 10 unreleased songs all featuring Chic frontman Nile Rodgers. This news also coincides with the third anniversary of Avicii’s sophomore record Stories.
