The year of Kanye West is upon us. He’s still riding the wave of two successful EP releases, ye and Kids See Ghosts, and he’s already hitting us with more new music. Behold, the leading track from Yandhi — at least part of it.
His forthcoming album will be released on Saturday night. In addition, the rapper has plans to perform on the season premiere of SNL on September 29th to break the tracks in properly.
“We’re releasing Yandhi Saturday night,” he tweeted. “We know it will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely,” he said in reference to Lil Wayne’s long-awaited Tha Carter V.
“The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time.”
The new album Yandhi is expected as a followup to Yeezus, based on the name and artwork. Kanye West is also working with Chance the Rapper on an album called Good Ass Job, which was originally supposed to be a title of one of his own. On top of it all, he’s says Watch the Throne 2 with Jay-Z is “coming soon.”
