San Holo follows up “worthy” and “lift me from the ground” from his debut album album1 with the new “brighter days” featuring Bipolar Sunshine.
Bipolar Sunshine, real name Adio Marchant, seems to be the perfect accompaniment to this new single, putting forth dulcet notes that present both a hopeful tone and a somewhat somber one (as his name Bipolar Sunshine might suggest). “brighter days” is that same kind of sad hopefulness, lamenting the past while looking toward the future.
With three singles now under our belts, the sonic vision of album1 is becoming to come into focus. This isn’t the same EDM albums you’re used to hearing this year as San Holo attempts to bridge prog rock into dance music, creating his own unique lane and discovering his own identity as a musician.
