Still No Lineup As Ultra China Shanghai Nears, Fans Suspect Cancellation

Ultra Shanghai is 17 days away, and still no lineup. Ultra Beijing is 24 days away, and apparently it’s not happening either.

There’s really no indication that either of these festivals will go on as planned, but Ultra remains radio silent. Attendees have been skeptical for some time now, but as the dates draw closer the rumors are sounding much more like reality.

An alleged statement from Ultra China Beijing came through back in June, revealing the music festival would be postponed and organizers were working toward a series of events to host some of the headliners at nearby venues. However, when we reached out to Ultra directly, they declined to comment.

r/UMF has raised suspicion yet again that Ultra Shanghai is cancelled and Ultra Beijing is seeking new dates. No word from Ultra China on its official website, but the fan comments on Weibo don’t look promising in the least.

Keep your eyes peeled on the Ultra China website for any information in the coming weeks. Until then, expect the worst.
