Fashion icon and visionary Virgil Abloh is bringing us a unique journey through sound with this brand new, hour long mix featuring some of his favorite tracks, from DJ Koze to Cardi B and everything in between.
The Off-White founder and Louis Vuitton Creative Director of Menswear can confidently add professional DJ to his long list of creative endeavors. When it comes to mixing, a huge factor is taste — and Virgil has plenty of it.
His newly released Solid Steel Radio Show mix, recorded live in London, features classic grooves from the likes of Roy Davis Jr and Peven Everett, through UK club staples Joy Orbison and Pearson Sound, works in tracks from Travis Scott and Drake, and his own collaboration with Boys Noize, “Orvnge.” (Speaking of which, the entire Orvnge EP deserves a good listen.)
“DJing in London is always a great time,” Virgil says. “…I like to create a contemporary dialogue with the audience but also root it in vast history of the many sub-genres that makes London super unique.”
