A man was found dead on I-80 in Salt Lake City outside of Das Energi festival, which took place over this weekend at The Great Saltair. Now, troopers are hoping his wardrobe and tattoos will help to identify his body.
According to KSL, emergency dispatchers received reports of a body lying in the westbound lanes of I-80 at the state Route 202 overpass around 3:35 a.m. When troopers arrived, they found a deceased man on the road and he appeared to have been struck by several vehicles.
It’s unclear whether this person was a festival goer or not.
Utah Highway Patrol says the victim was “wearing faded gray jeans, a white T-shirt with a floral pattern, and white Nike high-top sneakers.”
Description of tattoos:
A tattoo on his right forearm with the words “live free”
A large tattoo on his torso with the word “Freedom”
A tattoo of the Statue of Liberty on his left forearm
A tattoo of brass knuckles with wings and the word “Restless” on his chest
A tattoo on his left arm with the words “Die Fighting”
