We don’t have to beat around the bush anymore – we know that Swedish House Mafia is coming back. With plenty of direct quotes from members of the group about a world tour and reunion, that much is for certain. The bigger question on everyone’s minds was whether or not the group would be getting back into the studio for new music.

Thankfully, the most vocal of the group, Steve Angello, has revealed to Swedish news publication Dagens Nyheter that fans will be getting their wish.

“Yes, absolutely, Swedish House Mafia is back. Now during summer everyone is traveling a lot, but we’ve entered the studio. I can’t really say much more, but we’ve decided that: ‘Here we go.’”

The trio reunited this past March at Ultra Music Festival in a not-so-unexpected performance. Since then, they’ve continued to tease media with small soundbytes that point toward something bigger.

In May, Axwell Λ Ingrosso revealed during a performance in New York that they’d be returning to the city as Swedish House Mafia in 2019. “Should we cancel the Swedish House Mafia gig we’re planning next year?” he asked the crowd. “Because I don’t know if they’re ready for Swedish House Mafia in 2019 in New York.”

In June, Steve Angello spoke to Swedish publication Sydsvenskan and said, “It’s happening. Obviously. Not all the details are set, but we’re back in 2019.”

Then, in July, Oliver Heldens of all people let slip that the group was going on a world tour in 2019. “So, Swedish House Mafia have now officially reformed, and are announcing a world tour in 2019,” he stated.

All signs point to new music and a massive tour, so just let that all soak in.
